The European PlayStation Blog has announced that RPG sequels White Knight Chronicles II and White Knight Chronicles: Origins are on their way to Europe in May.

White Knight Chronicles II is just as the name suggests, a sequel to Level 5’s earlier RPG. The story directly follows on from the original game and once again centres around the white knight himself Leonard as you battle through a 30+ hour campaign.

The combat system has been overhauled and there’s online co-op playable by up to six people, whilst Level 5’s patented Georama mechanic returns, giving you the chance to construct your own town.

White Knight Chronicles: Origins is a PSP prequel, delving into the back-story of the series and heading back 10,000 years prior to the original game and revealing more about the lumbering knights.

It’s developed by Matrix Corp. the developer behind the DS incarnation of Final Fantasy IV. There’s 30+ hours to play and online is as with the larger scale games in the series, of importance offering 4 player online play. There’s also the opportunity to trade quests and avatars with other players.
