Developer Supermassive Games has announced release dates for its new horror game, Until Dawn. The game will be released here in the UK on August 28th 2015.

Until Dawn plays like a horror slasher flick, following a group of 8 friends – Sam, Josh, Jessica, Emily, Mike, Ashley, Chris and Matt – as they take a trip up to a cabin on the anniversary of their friend’s death. Fun turns into a nightmare as they are hunted by a crazed serial killer, and they must do what they can to survive the night – until dawn.

The characters are voiced by a well known Hollywood cast, including Hayden Panettiere (Scream 4, Nashville) Rami Malik (Night at the Museum, Twilight) and with the newest addition of Fargo and The Lost World: Jurassic Park actor Peter Storbare (the one attacked by begrudged Compy dinosaurs after having shocked one).

The game consists of an adaptable story, whereby the players choices can affect whether any of the characters will live or die. Until Dawn also features a Butterfly-Effect Interface mechanic; as players make their different choices, they can see the path that they have taken, amid the other thousands of possibilities that different choices could have taken them. Supermassive Games have promised lots of ‘twists and turns’ throughout the game, and previous game trailers have shown Until Dawn to be one to look out for.
