Moral choice is a feature very much in vogue in games today, and Weappy Studio’s This Is the Police is another game that joins this ever growing list of games.

This is the Police is described as a moral choice strategy adventure game that has you taking control of Jack Boyd (voiced by Jon St. John, who is best known for voicing Duke Nukem), a Police Chief whom has apparently been wronged. The Freeburg City Mayor sends Boyd a letter that informs him that he has lost his job, and this is in spite of his decades of service and honesty in the job. The dark story takes place in the last 180 days that Boyd is to remain in the job.

With all the above mentioned, Boyd obviously isn’t too happy and vows to finish the job with $500,000 in his bank account. And this is where the moral choices come into play, as it will apparently be up to you as to how you’ll earn this significant sum of money. You’ll apparently be able to do such unsavory things as cooperating with the Mafia as well as taking bribes while you continue your daily duties (responding to emergencies, managing your officers, and solving crimes) as Police Chief. The key thing here is not to get found out.

This Is the Police came about thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign last year. The game will firstly be released on PC and Mac this summer, while PS4 and Xbox One versions will follow a little later.
