News – Silent Hill returns next year

In 2011 the foggy town of Silent Hill is going to fill our nightmares with misshapen monsters once again, courtesy of Czech Republican developer, Vatra Games. The eighth instalment in Konami’s horror series will have you playing as Murphy Pendleton: a convict whom escapes after a prison transport is involved in a crash, and there’s no shock as to where he ends up. You’ll be taking on those nasty and deformed monsters (using every day weapons such as chairs and bottles) and will be tasked with completing  fiendish puzzles in the spooky town of Silent Hill once again.

The game is said to be a return to its roots, which means the more action focus of Homecoming will be completely swept aside for this next instalment in the series. New features include side quests, which alter depending on the manner in which you play the game.

I’ve enjoyed each and every instalment of this great series. I’m looking most forward to the next one when it is released next year on Xbox 360 and PS3.
