Codemasters have finally announced GRID 2. Arriving in 2013 on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, this is a sequel that many have waited over four years for.

The EGO-engine powered GRID 2 will once again have handling that is a mixture of realism and fun. With the brand new TrueFeel Handling System, the game apparently hits that all important sweet spot.

You’ll be racing in locations in three different continents – Europe, USA and Asia. Confirmed cities include Paris,  Chicago, Abu Dhabi and Miami. There will be some licensed circuits included in the game.

Advanced AI, split screen play for two players, online play with support for Codemasters Racenet feature will also be included.

“GRID’s back and we’re going to make street, track and road racing exciting again,” revealed executive producer, Clive Moody. “The core design philosophy for GRID 2 is that we treat the race as a character, not a consequence of simply putting cars on tracks. Everything that goes into the game impacts on that second-to-second, in the moment, blockbuster drama – the feel and personality of the race.”

GRID 2 doesn’t have an official release date as of yet.
