Along with the unveiling of the fancy new Porsche 911 GT2 RS that screamed to us regular Joe’s and Josephine’s “Look at me! You can’t afford to buy me, but at least you’ll get to control me in polygonal form!” came the announcement of Forza Motorsport 7.

Even watching the Microsoft E3 conference on a now-standard HD television, the graphics of Forza Motorsport 7 were still noticeably crisp, with colours bold and beautiful and the frameworks of the cars so smooth and sharp you would probably cut your fingers off.

Inside the cars much detail has been added, making them feel all the more realistic as you drive. Parts of the car will now rattle around as you speed over bumps, windows shaking and small wires and tubing rocking back and fourth, instilling a sense of motion like never before. Even the weather mechanics have been improved and are now much more unpredictable, just like real life; you can even see the rain coming at you in the distance, and the shimmer of heatwaves on hot tarmac.

At launch there will be 700 cars on offer, eclipsing the 450 that was available in Forza Motorsport 6, and there are over 30 locations with 200 configurations for players to mess around with.

Forza Motorsport 7 will be released on October 3 2017 on PC and Xbox One.
