Yes, you read that correctly – a competitive lawn mowing game is coming to consoles. Bringing to mind the gruelling scene from The Happening, in which someone surrenders to the rotating blades of a lawnmower, you’ll pretty much get the gist of this bizarre new game!

Lethal Lawns: Competitive Mowing BLOODSPORT is set in arenas where players fight to mow grass and kill one another, with a bit of strategy to be had as you try and manoeuvre your opponents under your mowers blades.

Lethal Lawns will have 4 game modes to play over 5 arenas, each with their own unique layouts and hazards. The game supports single player mode where you compete against AI but, as is always the case, it is very much best played with friends via local multiplayer.

The game was made in 4 months as an aside project whilst the developers continued work on their main title, Blockpocalypse. Needing a bit of a break, the idea came about after discussions about how boring and laborious mowing your lawn can be! More extreme ideas were thrown about, including the use of flamethrowers and grenades, though the developers settled on the idea of having a more relaxed and simplistic style of gameplay.

Lethal Lawns: Competitive Mowing BLOODSPORT will be released on Steam on the 30th March 2018, with a console releases soon to follow.
