Yuji Naka has announced via Twitter that he has joined Square Enix. His Twitter simply states that he joined the team this January, and that he aims “to develop an enjoyable game…”, singular, possibly suggesting something already in the pipeline?

Yuji Naka is best known for being the head of Sonic Team at SEGA, and for creating Sonic the Hedgehog. He left SEGA in 2006 to start his own company, Prope, which has published a number of small games. The last game, Rodea the Sky Soldier, was released in 2015.
