The title of this story is not a joke, as physics-based platformer Unbox does indeed have you taking control of cardboard boxes. If you don’t believe me, you could always view the new trailer below.

Prospect Games’ game is set in the near future and features clever self-delivering cardboard boxes that are able to jump and roll to their destinations. One has got to wonder if the likes of Amazon will take note.

Unbox apparently features an expansive single player campaign mode in which have vast worlds for you to explore, which includes the likes of a snowy mountain as well as a volcanic island. Other than the single player, there’s also a multiplayer component in the game that has modes such as box racing and box battles. There is also said to be lots of maps.

The boxes also look to be customisable in the game, with various faces and items being able to be added to them.

Unbox is set to be delivered later this year on PS4, Xbox One and Steam.
