We’ve come to expect EA cashing in on major football tournaments by releasing standalone releases, but this time it’s different.

Euro 2012 is kicking off in June in Poland and the Ukraine, and rather than the usual standalone release, EA will this time be releasing an expansion pack for their latest FIFA game, FIFA 12.

The expansion will include all 53 national teams, eight stadiums, and will have Dynamic Challenges based on real life happenings in the actual tournament, and you’ll also earn experience points to level up your EA Sports Football Club profile.

The add-on will also include the new Expedition mode, of which will have you building a team. You’ll be able to win matches to earn better players, and your team captain can be your Virtual Pro from FIFA 12 or perhaps one of your favourite players.

The UEFA Euro 2012 content will be released on PS3 and Xbox 360 on April 24th in Europe, priced at £15.99 and 1800 Microsoft Points Respectively.
