Activision has announced details of Tony Hawk: SHRED, and this time it’s aimed at a younger audience.

For the first time in the history of the series, SHRED will also feature snowboarding alongside the usual skateboarding. Here, you’ll be tackling the likes of Whistler in the French Alps and Beijing in China. For those wondering, yes the whole game is going to be using that plastic board peripheral, the one that is widely thought as inacurate by people who have played Tony Hawk: Ride, the game that introduced the lump of plastic that goes under your feet.

The game will feature the following professionals: Tony Hawk (of course!), Lyn-z Adams Hawkins, Corey Duffel, Sean Malto, David Gonzalez, Geoff Rowley, Stevie Williams and Chaz Ortiz; and snowboarders Travis Rice, Louie Vito and Olympic Gold Medalist Torah Bright.

360 and Wii players can import their respective Avatars and Miis, and the Wii version will also include Mii pros.

Tony Hawk: SHRED will be released in winter on Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii.
