The Amiibo support for the upcoming release of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD on Wii U has been officially revealed by Nintendo themselves.

If you have a Link or Toon Link Amiibo, you’ll be able to reload your arrows with it. Zelda and Sheik, on the other hand, will refill some hearts, which will be helpful during dire moments. Being a villain, the Ganondorf Amiibo meanwhile will do nothing but negative things, as making use of him with the game will cause you to receive more damage, which obviously makes the game all the more challenging.

The upcoming Wolf Link Amiibo unlocks the Cave of Shadows, in which Wolf Link and Midna take on waves of enemies. The Amiibo will also record the amount of hearts you have left when you complete the challenge, and then you can go back and attempt to beat your record. The Wolf Link Amiibo will also have some sort of functionality with the next game in the series, which is due for release on Wii U later this year.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD is due for release on March 4th. The game follows The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, which was another game in the series that also received a HD remaster on Wii U.
