News – The Division welcomes all with newly announced open beta
Ubisoft’s Division enjoyed a hugely successful closed beta, which exceeded expectations and forced Ubisoft to delay access for some players that were previously guaranteed to have a place in the beta, and now the game is getting an open beta on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
The beta will first be staring on the Xbox One with 24 hour early access from February 18th. Then Xbox One and PC players can join in the fun from February 19th. The beta is due to last until February 21st, and will give those who didn’t take part in the closed beta a chance to try out the game ahead of its March 8th release date, as well as for Ubisoft to do additional stress tests on the servers as well as to gather feedback from players.
The open beta also features some content that was absent from the closed beta. This includes a new story mission, and Ubisoft are also promising that anyone who plays the beta will receive a special in-game reward upon the game’s full release.
You’ll be able to download the beta from February 16th before it officially launches, which means that you’ll be able to jump straight into the beta on the day it begins. A new trailer for the game can also be viewed below.
