Batman and Telltale Games is certainly an interesting combination for a new series from the narrative-driven developer, and they have now revealed a summer release window as well as more details as to what to expect from the five episode series.

Firstly, many will be glad to learn that the focus is definitely on Batman and Bruce Wayne, while the likes of Alfred Pennyworth, Vicki Vale, James Gordon, and Renee Montoya are supporting characters.

Bruce Wayne apparently appears just as often as Batman, which could make for some interesting narrative, as the billionaire under the cowl is just as important as the superhero himself in this dark universe. Interestingly, you’ll sometimes get the choice to head into a certain situation either as Bruce or Batman.

Creatively, it also sounds like the developer is attempting to do something a little bit different with the series, which should hopefully stop their successful formula from stagnating.

The story has been penned by Telltale’s own Pierre Shorette, while Nick Herman is the creative director, and the game takes place in its own universe, making it separate from anything else out there that is Batman related.

Finally, the game will be mature rated (18+ here?), the art of the game is inspired by the likes of Jim Lee, Greg Capullo, and Neal Adams, and the developer has also said to expect upgraded tech from the series, which will hopefully make for a smoother experience.
