505 Games has announced that their upcoming MMA game, Supremacy MMA is to be released on the PlayStation Vita.

This version of the game will feature exclusive fighters, venues, and other unannounced stuff. It will also be the only portable MMA game released in 2011.

Supremacy MMA has more of a focus on arcade-style play in comparison to rival MMA games such as THQ’s UFC games and EA Sports MMA. It is described as fast and fluid and boasts intuitive controls. Apparently it will also be the most controversial MMA game yet, because controversy sells, you know?

505 Games have it down for an Autumn release on Vita, although when contacted by Eurogamer, they were told by the publisher that this is a speculative date. So don’t get your hopes up too high that Vita will still see a release in 2011 on European shores.

The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Supremacy MMA will be released on 23rd September.
