Topware Interactive has unveiled Sacrilegium, an atmospheric survival horror game, developed by Two Worlds developer Reality Pump for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U and PC.

It runs on the GRACE 2 engine, that is said to make photos look like charcoal drawings, whatever that may mean. With the game, the developer is seeking not just to revive the survival horror genre, but also refresh it at the same time.

It centres around the 20 year old college student, Alex, who because of her adventurous nature ends up in another world. Environments consist of San Francisco and Europe and along the way there are plenty of monsters, so it’s probably a good thing that Alex is trained in self defence and martial arts.

It’s due for release some time next year.
