News – Rocketbirds 2: Evolution flying to PS4 and Vita soon
2011’s amusingly titled Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken is getting a sequel in the form of Rocketbirds 2: Evolution, which is coming to PS4 and Vita.
The events of the story take place straight after the end of the original PS3 game. You once again take control of the feathered freedom fighter that is Hardboiled. The penguin dictator iL Putzki also makes a return, and Hardboiled wants to turn him into a pile of feathers. The humor is also said to have been retained from the original game.
Developer Ratloop Asia are promising improved controls, which are described as pick-up-and-play and responsive, allowing you to can run, aim, jump and shoot at the same time.
The game also has two modes, which includes story mode and rescue mode. The aforementioned mode can be played in single player or co-op for up to four players. Unlike the original game, which only had local play, the sequel also adds in an online multiplayer option. Taking control of budgie commandos, Rescue mode takes place in four procedurally generated location, and you’ll be able to rescue and recruit over 16 hostages.
Finally, the developer are also promising lots of unlockables and Easter Eggs, and New World Revolution are also returning to do the music.
Rocketbirds 2: Evolution doesn’t have a release date as of yet, although Ratloop say that it is coming to PS4 and Vita soon. The game will also feature cross buy and cross save.
