News – PSN redesign in the works?

Sony are apparently working on de-cluttering PlayStation Network. The current text heavy design could soon be a thing of the past, with the new look reportedly featuring logically marked sections and rolodex lists.

The new design is also to include a live search feature, in which will present you with results, without having to leave the current page. The film section will apparently be similar to the layout of the IMDB, and you’ll be able to search films by actors and so on. Finally, the blue colours are thought to have been replaced with brighter colours on a dark background.

All of these features would certainly go down well with users, if Sony are indeed intending to go ahead and implement them.
