The PS4 is coming to Europe this Christmas and will cost £349, Sony revealed at yesterday’s E3 conference.

The fact that’s it’s £80 cheaper is just one of the advantages it has over Microsoft’s Xbox One. It will also allow you to play pre-owned games without having to pay a fee and online check ins aren’t required either. More unfortunate is that you’ll now need a PlayStation Plus account to play online, though your account for PS3 can be carried over to PS4. Sony also announced that Killzone: Shadow Fall, Driveclub and Knack will all be launch titles, whilst Infamous: Second Son is coming early next year.

The long in development Final Fantasy Versus XIII is now unsurprisingly Final Fantasy XV, and will now be a next generation offering. The game was shown off with a trailer featuring OTT action. Another Square Enix game was revealed at the conference, the long awaited Kingdom Hearts III. It once again stars Sora, and the combat looks to be as visually spectacular as it’s ever been.

The Elder Scrolls Online was revealed for the platform and a beta will arrive first on the PS4, prior to the release of the game in spring next year. The long rumored open world Mad Max game, developed by sandbox specialist Avalanche Studios was revealed.

Ready At Dawn, the developer behind quality and technically accomplished PSP games, Daxter, God of War: Chains of Olympus and God of War: Ghost of Sparta have a new IP heading to the PS4. The Order: 1886 is a  horror game that takes place 40 years after the industrial revolution in an alternate steampunk history, and in the vein of the Assassin’s Creed series you’ll meet up with some real world historical figures.

Unsurprisingly, a huge abundance of indie games are also heading towards the PS4. Action RPG, Transistor, the next game from Bastion developer SuperGiant Games, was announced for the system. Outlast is a spooky first person horror game that is set in an asylum and is developed by Red Barrels. Shank developer Klei are bringing Rougelike, Don’t Starve. Scott Pilgram Vs. the World developer Tribute Games are working on the similarly 2D retro inspired Mercenary Kings . Octodad: Dadliest Catch is a weird looking physics based game developed by Young Horses. Secret Ponchos, developed by Switchblade Monkeys is an isometric, western inspired shooter. Galak-Z meanwhile is a top down open world space shooter, assembled by the Skulls of the Shogun team, 17-Bit Games. Finally, Abe’s Odyssey: New and Tasty, the remake of the much cherished Abe’s Odyssey is also on the way.

Sony also unveiled the actual design of the PS4 console. You can have a look at it below:
