News – PlayStation Now to be discontinued on specific devices
PS3 game streaming service PlayStation Now will be discontinued on various devices. The finish of the service begins on April 1st for any 2016 Sony Bravia models, with service for the Vita, PS3, as well as other Sony Bravia TV’s and Samsung Smart TV’s and Sony Blu-ray players coming to an end from August 15th.
Sony’s focus for the service has shifted to PS4 and PC’s only, but if you are able to continue using the service on the aforementioned formats any saved data will of course be able to be carried over as it’s stored in the cloud.
If you wish to cancel the service in time for the end of the service on the specified devices, Sony have advised to make sure that auto renewal is turned off.
PlayStation Now is a subscription service which costs £12.99 a month. There’s over 300 PS3 games currently available to stream and play on the service as well as a 7 day trial.
