PlayStation game streaming/rental service PlayStation Now is getting a closed beta on PS4 here in the UK this spring, Sony have revealed.

The closed beta will be completely free to begin with, but Sony will later begin a phase of the trial in which they will be testing out different rental periods and pricing models, which will obviously require you to put some of your money down.

To be in with a chance of being a part of the beta, you have to be a PlayStation Plus member, and you have to register your interest here.

For the beta, you’ll obviously need an internet connection (with a minimum speed of 5mps recommended) and a DualShock 4 or DualShock 3 controller.

The PS3 games that will be able to be streamed to your PS4 during the closed beta period include the following:

  • Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
  • The Last of Us
  • God of War Ascension
  • Rayman Legends
  • Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon
  • Saints Row: The Third – The Full Package
  • Just Cause 2
  • The Walking Dead
  • Dirt 3

When PlayStation Now officially launches, you’ll be able to rent and then stream PS3 games to not only the PS4, but also PS3, Vita, and selected Sony Bravia TV’s. Sony also has plans to make PlayStation and PS2 games available through the service eventually.
