News – PlatinumGames Ninja Turtles game officially exists
It has been common knowledge for a fair bit of time now and one of the worst kept secrets, but PlatinumGame’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan game is now finally official.
As the announcement trailer shows below, the cel-shaded game appears to be slick and fluid in motion. The four heroes apparently have their own unique customisable fighting styles.
The original story has been penned by IDW Publishing’s Tom Waltz, who currently writes stories for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic series. The plot has Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michangelo facing off against aliens in New York. You can also expect to take on the Foot Clan, mutants as well as bosses such as Bebop, Rocksteady, and Shredder, amongst others.
Finally, it has been confirmed that the game will have online co-op included for up to four players.
PlatinumGames previously did an admirable job with Transformers Devastation, so the child in me certainly hopes that they’ll have similar success with this Turtles game.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan is set for release this summer on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and Steam.
