News – Nintendo 2DS announced

A new version of the 3DS is on the way, with the key difference being that it doesn’t support 3D and, in turn, is a cheaper option for those without an interest in things popping out of their screen.

The 2DS, as it’s called, has been redesigned and you are no longer able to close it. The two screens are the same size as the original 3DS model, while there is one speaker, rather than the two included in the other models. One advantage it has over the 3DS XL is that a charger comes included with the machine.

The 2DS arrives on the 12th of October, and retailers currently have the handheld priced at around £109.99.
