News – Microsoft gets Defensive of Kinect’s £129.99 Price

Speaking to TechRadar, Microsoft’s Brett Siddons has said that he thinks Kinect (the Xbox 360’s fancy motion sensing camera) is very competitively priced and was quick to point out that for multiplayer gaming, the £129.99 Kinect camera itself is the only thing you’ll need.
Siddons had this to say: “I’ll let you do the maths, but when you say Nintendo Wii or PlayStation Move you buy this and this, even for a two player game.”
Which is a fair point to make, although I feel that Kinect could still struggle at retail, particularly as Microsoft have the casual market in their sights.
