Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is coming to Xbox Live Arcade next week, although it’ll be coming without the online cooperative multiplayer. Fret not, there will be a free update on September 28th (the same day that the game launches on PS3 and PC) to add the feature into the game.  For those who say that the game is lacking in multiplayer altogether at launch, the offline multiplayer is in there. Why ignore it if you have someone to play with in the same room as yourself? I certainly won’t be.

It has also been announced that the game is to receive a total of five downloadable packs before the end of 2010, with the first three being expansion packs featuring new locations, puzzles and combat experiences. Furthermore, the final two will introduce some new characters into the mix, allowing you to play throughout the entire game with some fresh characters, well known gaming characters apparently. Kane and Lynch? Raziel? Final Fantasy characters? We’ll just have to wait and see..
