For those waiting for the console release of Ironcast, you don’t have too long too wait – the roguelike game is now scheduled to be released on March 2nd on PS4 and on March 4th on Xbox One.

The Steampunk-themed game takes inspiration from the likes of science fiction writers H.G. Wells and Jules Verne. Taking place in an alternate history of Victorian England in the 1880’s, you pilot one of the titular Ironcast’s; a huge walking robot. The 7 metre tall Ironcast is your weapon of choice against an invasion of enemy Ironcast’s.

The game itself makes use of resource nodes, and you’ll have to spend them wisely, with both offensive and defensive capabilities being options for your gigantic machine.

The game is developed by Dreadbit, a company that was formed by Daniel Leaver, who was previously a Senior Designer at Media Molecule. Leaver was involved in the likes of LittleBigPlanet and Tearaway.

Expect a brand new trailer of Ironcast on the run up to release.
