News – F1 2015 to be released in June
With F1 2014, Codemasters decided to skip the current generation consoles, but F1 2015 will mark the debut of the series on those consoles.
Codemasters are promising a brand new engine, which is apparently a significant step-up for both the visuals as well as how the cars handle on the track. Speaking of which, there’s said to be improvements in over 20 areas, including engine and transmission, aerodynamics, fuel tank, force feedback, suspension and a new tyre physics model. When you are out there on the virtual track, you’ll apparently feel much more connected to your car thanks to the new tyre model as well as the improved vehicle dynamics.
Also new is broadcast-style presentation, which, makes things feel a lot more like a TV broadcast. For those who don’t feel like an idiot doing such a thing, you can also use Kinect or the PlayStation camera in order to verbally communicate with your race engineer and ask him various things such as the status of the tyres, weather updates, request fresh tyres, and so on.
Along with the 2015 season, the 2014 F1 season will also have a presence, which means all the cars, drivers and tracks are in there from that season also.
F1 2015 will be released on June 12th on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
