News – Evolve getting new DLC soon
Turtle Rock Studios’ Evolve is getting new DLC from March 31st.
The DLC offers four new playable hunters, of which can be purchased separately for £6.19 each, or all four of them can be yours if you have purchased the Hunting Pass. New hunters include:
- Torvald – A Cyborg Assault character with a mortar cannon for an arm
- Crow – A Trapper with a pet Batray for tracking Monsters
- Slim – A genetically modified combat Medic
- Sunny – A Support character equipped with a mini-nuke grenade launcher
The hunters will be available from March 31st on Xbox One and April 1st on PS4.
There’s also a Monster Expansion Pack launching on the same day as the new hunters (see the above console dates). This DLC adds in a fourth monster to the game. Behemoth, as he’s called, is gigantic and very powerful, and he can also roll around the place. If you pre-ordered the game from a selected retailer, you’ll get the Monster Expansion Pack for free, but otherwise it will be available for £11.99.
Also available from March 31st is Observer mode, which is completely free. It allows a sixth player to join the game, although he or she will only be able to watch the action as opposed to being in the midst of it all.
Two free maps are also headed to the Xbox One on March 31st, although PS4 and PC players will have to wait until April 30th.
