20 years ago, Duke Nukem 3D took the controversial character and placed him in an FPS game for the very first time and, while the game did cause much controversy with its violent and sexual content, it was very well received by those who didn’t care.

As it’s the 20th anniversary for the game, Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour is to be released to mark this milestone, and it seems to have a pleasing mixture of new and old content.

The game will feature a brand new episode, which will contain eight all new levels. Not only are they new levels though; they have been designed by level designers that worked on the original Duke Nukem 3D.

You’ll be able to play the game with the original 1996 visuals, although there’s also an option to play with spruced up visuals. There’s also new music and developer commentary, and Duke Nukem voice actor Jon St. John has also recorded some brand new dialogue for the game.

Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour is set to be released on PS4, Xbox One and PC on October 11th.
