News – Doom getting open beta soon
Doom currently has a closed multiplayer beta under way, although those who were unable to play it will be glad to learn that the beta is being opened up for all next week.
The open beta begins on April 15th and will end on the 18th on PS4, Xbox One and PC. It will allow you to play Team Deathmatch and Warpath modes on the Heatwave and Infernal maps.
Publisher Bethesda has also announced some free content updates for the game, which will include modes and updates for SnapMap. Three premium multiplayer DLC packs will also be released as well, which will feature new maps, weapons, demons, hack modules, and more. Each pack will cost £11.99, while a £29.99 Season Pass will also be available. Bethesda has revealed that the first of these packs will be released this summer, and will feature the following:
- Three new maps
- One new weapon
- One new playable demon
- One new armour set
- One new piece of equipment
- New hack modules and taunts
- New customization colours and patterns
Doom will be released globally on May 13th on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
