News – DMC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition announced
DMC: Devil May Cry is coming to PS4 and Xbox One on the 17th of March under the title of DMC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition, developer Ninja Theory has announced.
The game is an upgraded version of the last generation game that runs at 60fps and 1080p resolution. Visuals have been enhanced and it includes all of the games DLC and the two new skins of Devil May Cry 1 Dante and classic Vergil.
There’s a manual target lock which is said to function like earlier games in the series and the game has been rebalanced based on player feedback. Turbo mode also makes a return, which increases the speed of the game by 20%, there’s a new God’s Must Die difficulty level (which sees every enemy spawning with Devil trigger active and doesn’t allow you to use items) and there’s a fresh hardcore mode, which apparently offers an experience in line with earlier iterations of the series and a Vergil’s Bloody Palace mode, which sees playing as Dante’s brother through 60 stages of the popular mode. In other Devil May Cry news, Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition is also coming to PS4 and Xbox One Summer next year, though fewer details have been released of this.
