News – Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition extras revealed
Originally announced back in December, Capcom have now revealed the kind of extras that come included with Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition.
Along with Dante and Nero, the game will also feature Vergil, Trish and Lady as playable characters. Vergil will be playable on any mission in the game, while Trish will only be available to play as during Dante’s portion of the game, and Lady will be available for Nero’s missions. When it comes to how the characters play, Vergil is said to be the definitive version of the character, with this version being based on the one found in Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition, although he’ll also have elements taken from DmC. The character also has a new Concentration mechanic, with attacks becoming more powerful based on how well you are playing ,when the mechanic is brought into play. Trish meanwhile has a sword, a pair of pistols, and can also use her bare hands. As she can fight with few button presses, it sounds like she might be a good character for beginners, although Capcom still suggest that Trish is quite a deep character. Lady on the other hand has a focus on firearms, and she also has a grappling hook.
Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition also features enhanced visuals with 1080p support, and the frame rate apparently remains at the smooth 60fps of the original release. There will also be bonus costumes and skins, and the Legendary Dark Knight mode will also be included. The latter mode has you fighting off lots and lots of enemies, and was introduced in the PC version of the original release of Devil May Cry 4.
Devil May Cry 4 was originally released back in 2008 on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. This remastered version of the game is due to be released this summer on PS4, Xbox One and PC. It will only be available to purchase as a digital download.
