Dark Souls II is coming to Europe on the 14th of March, developer From Software revealed at the Tokyo Game Show.

The game is more open ended this time around, allowing you to play the more challenging areas from the start of the game, if you so wish. Also new is the ability to dual wield weapons, more complex enemy AI routines and enemies are able to play dead, so you must always remain on guard. Another change is that the game is more accessible this time around, but fans needn’t worry that this means that the famous punishing difficulty has been massively toned down as it’s just simply a bit easier to initially get into, allowing you to choose your class later on for instance.

A closed beta of Dark Souls II is coming to PS3 on the 5th of October.
