Castlevania: Mirror of Fate has been delayed until next year Konami has announced. The reason for the delay is to  give a handheld experience that is unlike any other and who can argue with that?

The game takes place 25 years after the events of Castlevania: Lords of Shadows and sets up the events of upcoming sequel  Castlevania: Lords of Shadow II, which is also set for release next year.

The 2.5D 3DS game will feature multiple playable characters, each with their own skills and is developed by Castlevania: Lords of Shadow developer, MercurySteam. It’s a combination of old and new. So it takes place in a single castle environment, whilst like the newer games there’s an emphasis on combat.
