Hollywood actor Gary Oldman played Viktor Reznov in Call of Duty: World at War and Oldman is back for seconds in Call of Duty: Black Ops, reprising his role as the character. Also joining him in the cast is actor Ed Harris, who is the voice of CIA Operative Jason Hudson in the game.

Scriptwriter David S. Goyer was also brought in for script consultation and story development support. This man has scripted everything from Blade to the two most recent Batman films.

Mark Lamia, Studio Head of Treyarch is happy to have these film people on board: “Oldman, Harris and Goyer are considered some of Hollywood’s finest talents and they perfectly complement Call of Duty: Black Ops’ ambitious and immersive single player experience. Their contributions have helped us to push the boundaries of our story telling and character development far beyond anything we have ever attempted before in the franchise.”

Obviously, none of this is going to improve the way it plays, although I expect good things from Treyarch, as they have impressed me with their work in past Call of Duty titles!

Call of Duty: Black Ops is released 9th November on PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and PC.
