Vita’s first Assassin’s Creed Game has been revealed by American magazine Game Informer. Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation, developed by Ubisoft Sofia is currently planned to be released on the 30th October, the same day as Assassin’s Creed III.

The game will be set within roughly the same time period of Assassin’s Creed III, during the end of the French/Indian war. It will also for the first time in series history star a female assassin. She’s called Aveline and is French and of African descent. Assassin’s Creed III protagonist Connor is said to meet up with her at some point in the game.

The city of New Orleans is featured and you’re apparently able to explore it without the interruption of loading screens and there’s alligators about too. There’s also some sort of multiplayer component, that is said to take advantage of Vita’s abilities.
