Microsoft will no longer produce new Xbox 360 models, and once the current stock sells out, you will no longer be able to purchase the popular console. Well, there’s always eBay.

The production run of the Xbox 360 lasted for over 10 years, and the console was/is loved by many, although the launch was plagued by the infamous Red Ring of Death (or RROD) mechanical fault, which resulted in Microsoft having to extend warranties, costing them a lot of money in the process.

RROD aside, the Xbox 360 has some fantastic games as well as an excellent online service in Xbox Live, with the latter really getting into its stride on Microsoft’s second console.

Since news of the production of the 360 being halted, Microsoft have insisted that they’ll continue to support the console, with the likes of Xbox Live, Deals with Gold and Games with Gold continuing as normal.

Microsoft’s current console is of course the Xbox One, and it continues to go from strength to strength despite some controversial early decisions on Microsoft’s part.
