James Bond’s next videogame outing will be the freshly announced 007 Legends, Activision has confirmed.

Unsurprisingly it will be developed by Eurocom and will be available for both PS3 and Xbox 360. More surprising however, but somewhat fitting given 007’s 50th anniversary, is that the game will feature missions inspired by six Bond films, including this years SKYFALL. Apparently this has resulted in the most diverse Bond game ever.

The multiplayer side will feature characters (both good and evil) maps and weapons from throughout the rich history of the Bond universe. It isn’t just online either, as there’s also support for local four player split-screen play. The Mi6 OP’s missions from GoldenEye 007 and its HD equivalent, GoldenEye 007 Reloaded have also been retained, offering action and stealth missions, as well as online leaderboards to record your scores.

007 Legends is set for release this Autumn.
