Its been rumoured for awhile, and the next game in the Assassin’s Creed series, Assassin’s Creed Origins, does indeed use ancient Egypt as its center stage.

The game stars new character Bayek as its protagonist, and he is able to make use of an eagle called Senu to scope out the area. Making use of the game’s new environment, you’ll also be able to ride camels.

The expansive world is also all about discovery as opposed to climbing up to a viewpoint and discovering where everything is in the area as you did in all the previous games in the series.

The game also has better flowing combat and gives you far more control than previously, and it appears that enemies don’t stand around taking it in turns to attack you any more.

As for the title, the game is called this as the narrative explores the origins of the Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood in 49 BCE.

Assassin’s Creed Origins is due for release on October 27th on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
